A new custom-built deck is one of the most practical and worthwhile additions you can make to your home.
A new custom-built deck is one of the most practical and worthwhile additions you can make to your home. A deck adds value by expanding the family living area and increasing the quality of enjoyment of your backyard space.
Dock Life! — It’s where family, home, and the outdoors connect.
A custom-built deck can also be combined with a dock to create a seamless, holistic entertainment experience that includes a limitless amount of waterfront activities.
Florida Home & Dock Life has been building custom decks in East Central Florida since 2014. Our decks are designed with a huge amount of care and experience. We only use premium quality materials to build our decks, with materials that have a proven track record of performance and longevity.
Our engineer works directly with each homeowner to pre-determine the intended use of the deck and therefore designs a structure required to support your individual and/or family needs and imagination. Whether you want to include a hot tub, outdoor spa, pergola, picnic table, or even an outdoor kitchen down the road, our engineering meets all governmental requirements.
Our decks are built with pressure-treated pine as the supporting framework— which is required by Florida Building Codes. The topside and railing can be constructed using either exotic wood like Ipe, a PVC composite decking like WearDeck!
Wood decks have a normal lifespan of about 10-12 years. Wood topsides, however, require regular cleaning, sealing, and maintenance to keep them functioning well and looking good.
Composite decking requires no maintenance and lasts for well over 20 years. Check out our samples of colors and styles. Composite decking has certainly come a long way in the past 2 decades!
WearDeck Built To Last
Made of HDPE reinforced with fiberglass, WearDeck boasts the highest live load rating in the industry. Our boards are weatherproof, waterproof, and heat-reflective. Rated for ground contact and underwater installation, WearDeck will be the last deck board you’ll ever need.
Weardeck reinforces High-Density Polyethylene (HDPE) with fiberglass to produce decking with unparalleled strength and durability. Their Limited Lifetime Warranty and proprietary mixture of additives ensure that you’ll enjoy your WearDeck for generations to come.
Foot Friendly -
Our splinter-free, heat-reflective decking provides permanent static protection and an embossed woodgrain surface for excellent slip-resistance. WearDeck comes in two new Barefoot colors designed to keep feet cool and comfortable on the hottest days.
Low Maintenance -
No more burdensome staining, sealing, painting, or sanding. WearDeck cleans up easily with soap and water. Unlike other deck boards, WearDeck resists stains from substances like sunscreen and redwine.
